The unlikely result of a classically trained violinist from Kansas City, MO (Julie Bates) & a Chicago blues guitarist from Warsaw, IN (Andrew Morris) meeting in Leipzig, Germany, and forming a bluegrass duo. During their year of living and working as expats in the former East Germany, the pair began re-analyzing the songs of their homeland, and developed a tight ,yet gritty, bluegrass style. 

December 18: Kasey RauschKasey-Rausch_rooster
An award-winning 4th-generation musician who plays and writes Americana-rooted music, Kasey Rausch is celebrating the recent release of her latest album, “Guitar in Hand”.  Kasey also co-hosts River Trade Radio on KKFI 90.1 FM.

A performer with a well-traveled repertoire of traditional blues, folk, and swing tunes, Dan’s songwriting is showcased in his performances along with his trademark fingerstyle guitar work.

 

The Farmhouse will be closed on Thursday, November 27, for Thanksgiving, but we’ll see you with more great music in December!

We’ll be filling your ears with great music and your belly with amazing food this month, with all the awesome talent on our MidCoast Roots Thursdays series!  Join us from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursdays in October and get a well-rounded feast!

Midcoast Roots Thursdays at The Farmhouse!

We’re excited to announce a new music series here at The Farmhouse — Midcoast Roots Thursdays! During our Thursday dinner service, starting at 6:00 p.m., we’ll be showcasing a different local musician or band playing music that hearkens to our roots.  Americana, folk, country&western, blues, internationally-influenced — all those things which jive so beautifully with our own aesthetic.

For the month of August, we’ll have:
